Lindsay Carone is a Brooklyn based artist working primarily in sculpture, installation, and textiles. She is a recipient of a Fulbright-Nehru Research Grant and previously earned an MFA in Sculpture from Rhode Island School of Design and a BFA at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her work has been shown in the Katonah Museum of Art, el Museo del Reciclaje, the Phillips Museum of Art, Saint Joseph’s University, and in the RISD Museum of Art, where she created a site-specific installation as the winner of their annual Sitings competition. Lindsay has held residencies with Punt WG in Amsterdam, Netherlands, The Cultural Center at Eagle Hill in Hardwick, Massachusetts, The Kimball Art Center in Park City, Utah, the Platte Clove Residency in the Catskill Mountains in New York, and Millersville University’s Emerging Artist in Residence program in Central Pennsylvania. Additionally, she completed an Apprenticeship at the Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia. In addition to her fine art practice, she works as a Production Designer in the film industry and makes and sells artisanal quilts and home textiles in collaboration with artisans in India through her brand, Mata Quilts.
